Over a final week, Electronic Arts has shifted their first-person shooter selling efforts and courtesy divided from Battlefield 3 and a arriving Medal of Honor: Warfighter, and placed it on their high-tech, unconventional threequel, Crysis 3.
Prophet is behind and is prepared to take on Ceph army in what some witnesses are describing as a best-looking console diversion to date. We’re not certain how DICE feels about those claims after building a Frostbite 2 engine for EA, though we do know that Crysis 3 (and a new CryENGINE) will be competing on a same platforms.
In chatting with CVG at a Crysis 3 preview event, Crytek’s Director of Creative Development Rasmus Hoejengaard spoke about his expectations and desires for next-gen consoles, maybe holding a bit of a poke during a Wii U and a inscription controller – an charge that industry analyst Michael Pachter pronounced could outcome in Nintendo “Dreamcasting” themselves with a hardware.
“The misfortune thing that can occur is they make something that’s really formidable for developers, regardless of how overwhelming it competence theoretically be… So removing hardware that allows we to fast get prototypes adult and running, and any kind of scalability they can offer will be good as well, as prolonged as everybody has that scalability and not only a name few.”
In chatting with Destructoid, Hoejengaard was asked privately about Crysis 3 development on a Nintendo height where he confirmed (with laughter) that there are no skeleton for Crysis 3 on a Wii U.
“Not a fat chance. (laughs)… we don’t consider so. we don’t consider it’s going to be possible. Right now a launch platforms are PC, a Xbox and a PS3, and we don’t consider it’s in a cards to do a Wii U version.”
This does not mean that Crysis 3 won’t be entrance to a Wii U. Even it were rising on Nintendo’s new height subsequent year, Hoejengaard couldn’t contend so this week since that proclamation will be saved for EA and Nintendo’s E3 keynote presentations in June. What we do know is that Crytek Studios’ CEO Cevat Yerli went on record final summer, explaining that Crytek will deeply support a Wii U (and a Xbox 360 Kinect).
“Crytek’s support for Wii U is really going to happen… We aren’t display it though we are flattering most using it already”
So, don’t be astounded if a Wii U and Kinect proclamation for Crysis 3 are done this summer. If EA is subsidy a Wii U large time and if rumors about it featuring Origin as a digital use are true, of march Electronic Arts is going to recover Crysis 3 on another height that can support it. There’s income to be made. They’d be intelligent to to recover a whole trilogy as one package for Nintendo players.
Crysis 3 is slated for a Q2 2013 recover for a PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
